Elevator Pitch No. 2

I only had a couple suggestions in the comments of my first pitch which were to cut the final seconds of the video because it was "awkward" and to stop "up-speaking" (to change the tone of your voice, turning your sentences into questions). Editing the video was an obvious improvement but it was something I was already aware of. The "up-speaking" on the other hand surprised me because I didn't realize I was doing it until I re-watched the video a couple times. At first I thought that was pretty useless advice, but after some analyzation I realized I could improve on that aspect of my presentation. So I tried to implement this feedback into my new pitch because I thought both ideas would benefit the pitch. I also decided to wear the same shirt because it helped illustrate my idea which was also a comment on my last post.

  1. Hey Derek, I think your idea is really cool I personally hate brands that stamp their name all over their product but it is nice to have a brand you can recognize by the color or a water mark. I would for sure go to your store and recommend it to every single one of my friends !
keep up the good work ! I also think your pitch was right on including your attire which is coherent with your store idea !

  2. Keeping your shirt the same was a subtle but powerful choice. I personally love fashion and can sometimes be annoyed with brands over-exhibiting themselves. However, it is a big marketing tool and makes people feel some type of way rocking a brand they think is cool. At the same time, over simplified clothes are boring! If you could make this customization process inexpensive and quality-assured, you have a great idea.

  4. I think this is a great idea! Wearing the shirt was definitely a smart decision that I think helped your presentation. However, if I could criticize anything about this idea, it would be that as a fashion lover, I love brands, or designers. Part of being interested in fashion is being able to recognize those key points of design that distinguishes different designers and create their "signature look." Would your company have something that was distinguishable? Because I think that's what create the success for clothing stores and certain lines is the popular interest in the look of a certain design. I don't know if this is really necessary, but just a thought that maybe you could consider. But great job and I really do love the idea! 5. What's up Derek,

First off, the shirt is on point. Your pitch was quick and to the point, which is the way to go. You conveyed your idea well and without throwing in any unnecessary information. And I also struggle with "up speaking" sometimes too, so props to you for getting past that.
